It was a large clan house in Penang where the Hokkiens set rooted in this peninsula.
I thought, an entrance fee of the RM 10, compared to many places was worth it!
The temple was an elaborate and highly ornamented architecture. Inside the temple was the "皇孙大使爷爷". Right opposite was the opera stage.
Some beautiful scriptures on the wall. Read carefully - and we'll notice that each came with a story that taught moral values and filial piety.

An exhibition area (at the ground floor). Look at this carefully - the left was the photo of the template while the right was that of the opera stage. The space between liken the courtyard outside this building.
Indeed, looking at this, in particular the wordings "self protecting society", was like reminding us that, when we were in foreign land, there was even a greater need for the same community to come together and bond - for greater strength, and also to preserve our roots and remember our origin.
